What I collect, and why
This site belongs to MAD Design Interiors, run by me, Madona Nemr, in Halifax, Nova Scotia. It collects very little, and this page says exactly what, why, and how to reach me about it.
The free guide
When you request the Home in Harmony guide, the form asks for your email address and, if you choose to type it, your first name. I use them to send you the guide, and that is the one email you get: no newsletter and no follow-ups unless you write to me. The form passes your details through a secure service run by my web developer, AF&U, and the guide comes from my own mailbox. Your address is stored with MailerLite, the service that sends that email, and it is never sold, rented, or shared for anyone else's marketing.
When you contact me
If you call, email, or message me on social media, I keep what you send so I can reply and, if we work together, so I have a record of our project. I keep it as long as our work needs it and as long as ordinary business records require.
Ads on Facebook and Instagram
I advertise on Facebook and Instagram, and this site uses the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta. When you visit a page here, or ask for the free guide, it tells Meta that this happened, and Meta can link it to your Facebook or Instagram account through its cookies. If you type your email (and first name, if you add it) into the guide form, the pixel may also send Meta a scrambled (hashed) copy of them to make that match. I use it to see whether my ads work and to show my ads to people who have visited this site. Meta handles this information under its own privacy policy. To stop ads based on your visits here, change your ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings, or block third-party cookies in your browser. If you fill in a form inside Facebook or Instagram to ask about a consultation, Meta passes your answers to me and I use them only to get back to you.
Analytics
The site uses Google Analytics with its cookies switched off. It gives me anonymous counts, such as how many people read a page, and it does not identify you or follow you to other sites.
Hosting
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare keeps standard server logs, such as the address your connection comes from and the pages requested, to keep the site secure and running. The map on the contact page is loaded from Google Maps, so Google receives that same kind of connection detail when the map appears.
Your choices
You can ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email info@maddesigninteriors.com or call (902) 830-1656 and I will answer within a few days. Canada's privacy law, PIPEDA, gives you the right to see and correct your information, and I follow it. I will also delete your information when you ask.
Children
This site is for adults arranging their homes. I do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
Changes
If I change how the site collects or uses information, I will update this page and the date below before the change takes effect.
